{And whoever is in fear of standing in front of his Lord, will have two gardens. So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? 55|46|, 55|47|}
Surah Rahman PDF |The Delight of the Righteous in Paradise
The previous verses talk about the non-believers’ punishments and now these verses describe the rewards for those who act on the right path. Verse 46 tells about two gardens reserved for those afraid to stand in front of Allah. they always have to be judged on Judgment Day and avoid bad deeds. These are the people who are close to Allah.
Verse 62 describes two other Gardens, which are for the general believers who are not as spiritually advanced as the premier believers. These gardens are considered lower in status. Traditions from the Prophet Muhammad mention that the first two Gardens are made of gold for the premier believers, while the other two are made of silver for the general righteous believers. Moreover, the sayings are that the springs in the initial two Gardens flow freely, while those in the other two Gardens pour forth in great quantities. This shows the difference in quality.
In verse 46, “And whoever is in fear of standing in front of his Lord” refers to being aware of being judged by Allah. Some scholars explain it as being aware of Allah’s alert gaze over their actions. Both explanations focus on the significance of avoiding wrong acts.
{Both will be with rich branches. So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? There are two running springs in them. So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? 55|48|, 55|49|, 55|50|, 55|51|}
The phrase “ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَانٍ” explains about the first two Gardens as having many branches. This means there will be abounding trees with heavy shade and a large number of fruits. The other two Gardens are mentioned later without such illustration, proposing they may lack this standard in comparison.
{In them are two pairs of every fruit. So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? Reclining on carpets with linings of brocades, and the fruit of the two gardens will be near hands. So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? 55|52|, 55|53|, 55|54|, 55|55|}
Verse 52 refers that both of the first two Gardens will have two types of fruit, indicating a variety of fruits. In contrast, verse 68 simply refers to fruits for the other two Gardens. The phrase “زَوْجَانِ” means two types, suggesting that each fruit will come in two variations. This might suggest one type of food is dried while the other is fresh or one has a normal taste while the other has an extraordinary one.
{There will be maidens of modern glance in both gardens. So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? As if they were rubbies or coral. So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? 55|56|, 55|57|, 55|58|, 55|59|}
The verse says: “No human being, not even a jinn, would have done this before them.” The word “طْمِث tams” here means “sexual intercourse with a virgin”.
{Is the reward for goodness anything but goodness? So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? And beside them are two gardens. So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? 55|60|, 55|61|, 55|62|, 55|63|}
This verse asks: “Is there a reward for goodness that is not good?” This shows that when you do good things, you will get good things in return. Therefore, righteous believers will receive beautiful blessings.
{And they are dark green, So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? There will be two effusive springs in each of them. So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? In them are fruits, palm trees, and pomegranates. So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? 55|64|, 55|65|, 55|66|, 55|67|, 55|68|, 55|69|}

The expression “مُدْهَامَّتَانِ” means “dark green!” It means. It describes a green color with glossy leaves, usually found in well-drained lawns or gardens. Although these details are not precisely specified for the first two gardens, this does not mean that they lack this beauty. It is said that the first garden has many branches, that is, it also has the characteristics of green.
{There are good and noble mates in them. So, which of your Lord’s blessings will you reject? Maidens with gorgeous eyes, reserved in tents. So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? No human and jinn have ever touched them before. So, which of your Lord’s favour will you reject? 55|70|, 55|71|, 55|72|, 55|73|, 55|74|, 55|75|}

In that Garden, there are women with beautiful qualities and beautiful things. These qualities will be shared by both of the Garden girls mentioned above.
